1st Choice chooses Hino

A Gold Coast earthmoving business recently looked to Hino and Toyota Material Handling Australia to help expand its business

Family-run earthmoving business 1st Choice Group recently purchased a new 700 Series Hino FS2848 and two Toyota Huski skid-steer loaders.

Based at Upper Coomera, on Queensland's Gold Coast, the additions will join the 2006 Hino Dutro and 2006 Hino 500 Series FM Tipper already on the company's fleet.

Company principal Travis Northcott says the new hardware will enhance his growing business.

"We bought our 700 Series Hino FS2848 truck to haul our tag trailer, which weighs 20 tonnes when loaded," he says.

"It has more than enough power to tow the trailer easily.

"I am looking for longevity, so I chose a truck from a proven brand with power and a big gearbox.

"We've had no dramas with our existing Hino trucks," he said

Of the two new Toyota Huski 5SDK-8 skid-steers, one is a replacement for an older Toyota model while the other is an addition.

"Toyota is tops for reliability, operator-friendliness and serviceability," says Mr Northcott.

"I wouldn't consider any other skid-steer loader."

1st Choice Group provides a range of earthmoving services across south-east Queensland. The company recently completed work on a 10-acre mushroom farm at Yatala, along with a service station on the Gold Coast. It also carries out a variety of general contracting work, collaborating with plumbers, electricians and landscapers.
