A message from ITTES

The Chairman of the organising committee of the International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show has released a statement outlining some important facts about the Show
The International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show (ITTES) will be held in melbourne on May 5, 6 and 7 and with excitement really building, the organisers have released the following statement:
"The ITTES organising committee has decided that now is the time to release important information as to the format and participants of the International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show 2016.
"2016 will proceed as a dynamic show with an entirely new look and feel. Of the 350 participants registered, almost 40 per cent are new exhibitors we have never had at the expo before. We are well on our way to our goal of 400 exhibitors, which will well and truly make the show larger than the Brisbane Truck Show – both in exhibition numbers and in physical size.
"Previously, the ITTES was similar to the Brisbane event in exhibitor listings and displays. This year, however, has seen a dramatic change in exhibitor dynamics. One example of this trend will be a shift from some of the major OE manufacturers to a long list of ancillary suppliers and fleets who will have their equipment on show.
"The organising committee is therefore confident that the 2016 instalment will have more new trucks and trailers on show than any other previous Australian event – despite the shift, this also applies to major OE manufacturers.
"A new layout and moving display features will ensure that the show is fresh and an entirely new approach for transport expos in Australasia. The full exhibitor list will be made available a month ahead of the show, as is standard practice.
"We understand that there is a small element in the market trying to undermine the value of ITTES for their own agenda, but the organising committee would like to state that the overwhelming demand for space reinforces the need for an event of this type in Australia’s freight capital every second year. The fact that this show has been forced to evolve to meet the needs of the market is proof that the Melbourne event’s future is assured with or without certain brand support.
"We would encourage those keen to meet the market face-to-face and work towards growing their business in this environment to quickly shore up remaining spaces, as this is not an opportunity to be missed."
