Italian families are typically big on building traditions and no one takes that more seriously than the Adami family in South Australia.
The close-knit family has been operating Adami's Sand and Metal Depot for more than 50 years, supplying everything from sand and cement to base rubble and landscaping materials.
The company's clients range from boutique builders through to the construction giants in Metricon and Burbank.
General manager, Mick Adami, learnt the ropes from his late father, Joe Adami, and now employs 30 staff, including nine members of this extended family.
The Adamis rely on quality materials to create a point of difference with their competitors and that extends to their fleet of 20 trucks.

The line-up includes a pair of Isuzu NLR 200 Tippers, an NLR 45-150 Tipper, an FVZ 1400 and a recently purchased FVZ 240-300.
Mick rates Isuzu's reliability and robustness as major selling point.
"The Isuzu bodies last a good 10 years without any issues," he says, based on his experience with the older Isuzu 'Ready-to-Work' models.
"And these newer factory bodies are made of the tougher steel. They feel a bit lighter but also stronger too," he added.

Mick is also a fan of the Isuzu's cab layout to help keep his drivers comfortable and in control and rates the professionalism of the local dealership – North East Isuzu – as a key factor in deciding to go with Isuzu.
"It's about trust and integrity," Mick says.
"If you have a good name and reputation, it goes a long way."
