All-new UD Condor range takes flight

A variety of guises and wheelbases available for UD's new medium-duty lineup

UD Trucks Australia has unveiled its brand new range of Condor trucks for the medium-duty segment, built on the company founder’s original ethos of “efficiency and productivity”.

The Condor features advanced safety features and a new driveline and cab layout, and is available in 6x4, 6x2 and 4x2 guises with wheelbases ranging from 3910mm to 6000mm (leaf suspension) and 3190mm to 6950mm (air suspension). Potential applications include general cargo, crane, fried/freezer, mixer and tipper.

Motivation is from a 300hp/1081Nm Euro 6 engine mated to an Allison MD3060 automatic transmission (PK) and Allison MD3560 (PD and PW).

Safety features include autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, automatic windscreen wipers, traffic-sign recognition and electronic vehicle stability control.

“This new range of trucks represents an exciting new chapter for UD Trucks Australia,” says Philippa Wood, Vice President of UD Trucks Australia. “I’m thrilled to see the range of transport solutions we can now offer our customers in the country grow even further.

“Our founder conceived a truck based on efficiency, durability and productivity, and even after the passing of 90 years the UD Condor will continue to carry on that tradition in Australian cities and on Australian roads.”

The new Condor range will go on sale in the third quarter of 2025.
