PACCAR Australia's AllRig brand of retail parts will now be marketed under the PACCAR Parts brand, in a move the company says will better leverage the latter's reputation in the marketplace.
According to PACCAR Parts National Sales and Marketing Manager, John Everett, the decision to market PACCAR Parts under the one name was an easy one.
"For us it wasn’t a difficult decision," he says.
"Why operate under a separate retail badge? Our customer research has told us that PACCAR Parts is seen as the benchmark for quality, parts availability and expert staff."
Mr Everett said the rebranding exercise wouldn't affect its customer base on a day to day basis.
"For our loyal ALLRig customers, nothing changes except the name," he said.
PACCAR Parts has begun work on a new marketing campaign to promote the change, the campaign spanning an updated logo, revamped catalogue, and new dealer point-of-sale and industry advertising.
"This is the cornerstone of our brand story," said Mr Everett.
"Our reputation comes from our people, our parts' quality and our parts delivery systems. We get it right."
The tagline 'We get it right' is a prominent component of the new PACCAR Parts marketing campaign.
The PACCAR Parts Loyalty Card program will also remain unchanged, but existing customers will receive a new card in early 2015.
