Arnie's 'Mog up for grabs

Here's your chance to snap up Arnold Schwarzenegger's long-loved Unimog…

It's exactly the sort of truck you'd think action man Arnold Schwarzenegger would drive, and now it could be yours – for the tidy sum of just under $US351,000 (approximately $A500,000).

The Hollywood icon and former Governor of California has sold his beloved U1300 Unimog, and now dealership Texas Auto Direct is offering the vehicle for sale on ebay.

A 1977 model powered by a 6.4-litre straight-six turbo-diesel engine, the Unimog has been kitted out to Arnie's specs and features a semi-automatic transmission and air-conditioning. It comes with full documentation and the dash bears the autograph of the big man himself.

The military-tough 'Mog also comes with a reversing camera – a big help when parking at the local supermarket – and a Warn winch, while it rides on monster Michelin XZL 445/65R22.5 tyres.

Air suspension smooths the way, it's got a tyre inflation system and there's a Blaupunkt stereo to blare your favourite Arnie movie soundtracks.

It might be a '77 model but Arnie's beast has barely been run in, with just 1865 miles (2984 kilometres) on the clock. Best of all, it's fully road legal – in the US, at least – and ready to go.

Fancy a ultimate tough-guy truck yourself? Texas Auto Direct says it will ship the vehicle worldwide and all you need to get the ball rolling is a $US500 deposit. Click here to view the ebay listing.
