Big crane hire and rigging business, Borger Cranes has taken delivery of its 100th Hino truck, a distinctive Hino 700 Series SS 2848 prime mover.
The Indigenous-liveried truck will be used to transport auxiliary equipment such as counter-weights, and adds to the 320 cranes and over 270 vehicles already on the Borger fleet.
Employing over 1100 people, Borger Cranes uses a mix of Hino 300 Series light-duty, 500 Series medium-duty, and 700 Series heavy-duty trucks that are utilised on heavy infrastructure, civil construction, renewable energy, and commercial building projects across Australia.

To mark the occasion, the City Hino dealer recently hosted an event at Borger’s premises in Glendenning, New South Wales, where Borger Crane Hire General Manager Shawn Borger spoke about the history of the family business and why they continue to choose Hino trucks.
“Hino offers a variety of automatic and automated manual transmissions (ATMs) across its range, which are easier to drive for our operators,” he said.
“My father, who founded Borger Cranes, is Aboriginal and we're very proud of being a large Indigenous-owned family business, which we wanted to celebrate on the livery of our 100th Hino truck.
“With City Hino, we have a dealership that listens and responds – they are more than business partners, they are friends."

Borger’s fleet of Hino trucks play a vital role in the business with the larger 500 Series and 700 Series used to transport equipment and the light-duty 300 Series trucks acting as escort and traffic control vehicles.
Hino Australia’s President & CEO Richard Emery was also at the event where he presented Borger with a commemorative plaque.
“Borger Cranes is one of a growing number of Hino customers that have added our heavy-duty 700 Series to their fleets, following success with the quality, durability and reliability of our light-duty 300 Series and medium-duty 500 Series trucks,” he said.
“Borger first added the 700 Series to its fleet in 2024, and it now comprises over 20% of its Hino fleet."
