A new commercial fleet solution will be the star of the Bridgestone and Bandag stand at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show.
The tyre specialist is unveiling technology it promises will enhance its Total Tyre Management commercial offering.
“There’s no denying the importance technology is playing in the trucking industry, evidenced in part by the rise of telematics and significant advancements to safety systems that manufacturers have developed. Our stand at the Brisbane Truck Show will showcase our own business solutions technology,” Bridgeston managing director Stephen Roche says.
As well as Bridgestone’s fleet developments, the stand will feature a vehicle of a different kind, with Brisbane-based Bridgestone World Solar Challenge entrants, Team Arrow, displaying a solar car.
“There is a strong link between Bridgestone’s global partnership with the World Solar Challenge event, and the trucking industry. The low-rolling resistance technology developed for solar car tyres has direct impact on the development of the fuel-saving Ecopia truck tyres that so many customers have come to depend on,” Roche says.
A full complement of steer, drive and trailer tyres will be on display from Bridgestone and Firestone, as well as a host of Bandag re-tread options.
The Bridgestone stand is in the main hall between Meritor and BPW Transpec.
