Brissie showstoppers lauded
The top displays and products of the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show have been honoured at the event's official awards nightThe organiser of the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show, the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ), has honoured the most outstanding displays and new products at the event at an awards cocktail reception.
Presented by CVIAQ President Bob Martin and hosted by Show Ambassador and rugby league legend Shane Webcke, the evening highlighted a range of stands and products that excelled in their respective fields.
The coveted 'Truck of the Show' award went to International's stunning red-and-white ProStar SC prime mover, the model with which the company will soon be making is long-anticipated return to the Australian market.
The title of 'Trailer of the Show' was awarded to Hamelex White's new VersaBOLT concept, an innovative new tipper range that slashes delivery lead times thanks to its unique modular construction (pictured with Hamelex White tipper manager, Craig Wallace).
It was PACCAR Australia, meanwhile, that scooped the prestigious award for 'Outstanding Manufacturer Display', with its spacious and inviting stand showcasing myriad models from both the Kenworth and DAF brands.
Mr Martin said the various award winners had done themselves proud.
"It is a truly world-class event and looks absolutely stunning," he said.
"It is a credit to the industry in a home worthy of hosting Australia's premier event – the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre."
Mr Martin also took the opportunity to confirm the biannual Brisbane Truck Show would call the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre home for at least a further three shows, having recently signed a new contract to the secure the event at the BCEC in 2017, 2019, and 2021.
