Caltex has formally launched its new Caltex National Truck Network at Melbourne’s 2014 International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show, which is running from April 3-6.
Supported by an Android and Apple smartphone locator app, the National Truck Network lists nearly 200 Caltex service stations specifically designated to accommodate heavy vehicles.
The outlets all accept Caltex’s StarCard and feature high-flow diesel pumps, while around 95 per cent of them are open around the clock and can accommodate B-doubles. A total of 43 of the outlets also dispense AdBlue.
According to Michael Ridley-Smith, Caltex’s National Manager, Marketing Services, the NTN will help truck drivers maximise their efficiency and generally make life easier.
“Caltex is very aware that transport customers want easy access to the latest products and services – that is why many sites in the NTN also include premium diesel and diesel exhaust fluid, also known as AdBlue,” he said.
“We also recognise there are tangible costs associated with every minute of time occupied and every kilometre driven – drivers don’t have the time and their employers don’t have the resources to have trucks driving to different locations to access the variety of products and services they require.
“Our commercial customers know they can trust Caltex to provide safe and reliable supply of high-quality fuel – we are now ensuring customers have information about Australia’s most comprehensive truck network right at their fingertips via the new smartphone app.”
The app, called My Truck Mate, is available now via Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
