Check before you drive in floods: NSW Police

With floodwaters inundating major parts of Queensland and NSW, police have warned against non-essential travel

NSW Police has warned truck and car drivers in flood affected areas of the state to avoid non-essential travel and where possible stay at home again today.

Drivers needing to travel should be prepared for conditions to change quickly and never drive through floodwaters.

Drivers who need to travel are also advised to allow plenty of extra travel time and take extreme care.

Large parts of NSW and southern Queensland are currently experiencing dangerous flooding and road closures, or damage to infrastructure.
