Countdown to Brisbane

With just over a week to go to the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show, here's all you need to know about getting there and getting amongst it

The 2015 Brisbane Truck Show will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Thursday, May 14, to Sunday, May 17, with the event expected to attract crowds of around 40,000 people eager to see the latest and greatest trucks, accessories and related products and services.

Held every two years, the Brisbane Truck Show is a highlight on the Australian trucking calendar, where you can browse all the major truck brands under the one roof in air-conditioned comfort.

This year's show promises to reveal a host of new hardware and plenty of surprises, with several manufacturers vying for the limelight with models set to make their Australian debut. Of course, every manufacturer present will be making the most of the opportunity to showcase their current line-ups, while also promoting their various aftersales support and back-up services.

In addition to all the gleaming chrome and paintwork, this year's show will also feature a 'Health Tune-Up Centre', where truck industry members – and especially men aged between 30 and 60 – can gain a clearer picture of their health, identify potential risks and receive advice on ways to address those issues before they become major problems.

Meanwhile, the next generation of truck industry 'high achievers' will be strutting their stuff in the CVIAQ Apprentice Challenge, where participants will go head to head as they attempt to rectify identical faults in two Mercedes-Benz Actros prime movers.

And for those thinking about diving into the Australian truck industry for the first time, an Industry Careers Centre will be manned by a range of training and career specialists to showcase the broad range of paths available to those considering a new direction.

trucksales.com.au will also be there, with a stand manned by our friendly staff eager to show you just why we're Australia's leading online truck classifieds website. Be sure to drop by stand 247 on the Plaza Level and say g'day.
