The peak representative body for Australia's road freight operators, the National Road Transport Association, will be hosting its annual conference in Brisbane over August 13 to 15, 2015.
With the overarching theme of 'Public Perception vs Reality in the Heavy Vehicle Industry', the conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and will see delegates brought up to date on a variety of pertinent issues.
The legendary Max Walker will return as master of ceremonies for the event, which will see a variety of senior industry stakeholders come together to discuss issues ranging from policy and regulation to safety and business management, among others.
Of particular interest will be the industry updates from the CEO of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, Sal Petroccitto, and from the CEO of the National Transport Commission, Paul Retter, while delegate forums will cover the fields of liquid and dry bulk carriers, over-dimensional and dangerous goods carriers, refrigerated carriers, container and general goods carriers, and heavy recovery vehicles.
Of course, a range of social functions will also be held, allowing delegates to catch up with old mates, forge new friendships, and make the most of the numerous networking opportunities the conference presents. Highlights include the Cummins and PACCAR & PACCAR Dealers Gala Dinner (pictured), the Transport Super Breakfast, and the MaxiTRANS & Thermo King Auction Dinner.
The winners of the annual NatRoad Awards will be announced at the National Transport Insurance NatRoads Awards 2015 Luncheon, to be held on the Friday.
