September 7 to 11 is 2020 Good Design Week, and among the list of this year's Good Design Award winners is DAF Trucks.

DAF Trucks has scooped 'Best in Class' accolades for its new-generation XF and CF trucks, which were unveiled locally at a PACCAR Australia launch event on the Gold Coast in February.
The Good Design Awards date back to 1958; they celebrate the best new products and services on the Australian market, along with excellence in engineering, architectural design, fashion, and digital and communication design, among others.

The General Manager of DAF Trucks Australia, Felipe Rubio, said it was an honour for the brand to be recognised for its new XF and CF models.
"The DAF XF and CF model range, released in Australia in February 2020, has set a new benchmark for excellence in safety, fuel efficiency, driver comfort and exterior styling for the Australian heavy-duty truck market, and this accolade is further evidence that our new truck models are setting industry standards," he said.

The Good Design Awards jury praised the new DAF trucks across a range of criteria.
"This sets a new industry standard for truck style, function, safety, sustainability and performance," they said of the DAF XF and CF.
"Innovative thinking has resulted in a truck that has a positive impact on the end-user, business and environment. The design offers a clever combination of aerodynamic styling and features as well as powertrain refinements that have delivered a vehicle that is cleaner for the environment, yet offers better performance."
The 2020 Good Design Awards attracted a record number of submissions this year, with 835 individual design project evaluated by judges.
