This year's Camp Quality Geelong Convoy will be held on Sunday, February 14, but don't forget the run itself will be preceded by a charity auction.
Held at auctioneers Ritchie Brothers in Corio on the evening of Friday, February 12, the auction is a major part of the convoy's fund-raising activities and will see plenty of prized goods and services go under the hammer.
Last year's auction saw holiday packages, DECA driving courses, PACCAR merchandise, AFL memorabilia and more all up for grabs, with the list headlined by a new Volkswagen Golf.
The night will also see fierce bidding for the prestigious 'lead truck' banner for the convoy itself, that honour last year going to Riordan Grains with its winning bid of $10,100.
This year's auction promises another smorgasbord of great items, so get along for an exciting evening of bidding, safe in the knowledge your hard-earned is going to a very worthy cause.
Camp Quality provides assistance and support for kids battling cancer as well as for their families. The organisation receives no government funding, and so relies on events like its convoys in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria to allow it to provide its vital service.
Everyone is welcome at the auction, which will be held at Ritchie Brothers at 200 O'Briens Road, Corio, with the action kicking off from 7.00pm.
