The Tunland V7 and V9 pick-up utes from Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Foton will go on sale locally by the first half of 2025.
With the brand now relaunched in Australia under the stewardship of global vehicle distribution giant Inchcape – the importer of Subaru, Peugeot and Citroen vehicles – the green light for the Tunland range comes on top of the impending arrival of the new Foton Aumark S light-duty commercial truck range, which will be on sale by Christmas 2024.
Details on the Tunland V7 and V9 full-size utes are limited, but they are believed to share the same dimensions but with different exterior designs. Foton Australia says the pair will offer “an intelligent cockpit, plush seating, and luxurious finishes that prioritise occupant’s comfort on every journey”.
Full local specifications will be revealed closer to the launch, including the powertrains, driver assistance aids and what’s expected to be razor-sharp pricing.
“We are excited to introduce Foton’s innovative commercial vehicles to Australians, beginning with the Aumark S,” said Blair Read, Managing Director Distribution, Inchcape Australasia.
“We look forward to… growing Foton’s dependable and value-driven mobility solutions that help enhance the operations of Australian businesses and support the adventurous lifestyles of Australian consumers.”
The Tunland ute was previously on sale in Australia from 2011 until 2019 under the stewardship of different importers.
