Alliance Truck Parts, the company that has sponsored Andrew Jones in the Super2 Series
for the past three years, now joins with fellow Daimler Truck and Bus company Freightliner to give car #14 a strong yellow and black look for 2018. Alliance Truck Parts supplies a range of new and remanufactured parts and accessories to ensure trucks and trailers remain where they should be, on the road. Alliance Truck Parts are also known for partnering with some of the best suppliers in the industry to offer an affordable alternative to original first fit parts for heavy commercial vehicles; with their parts being backed by a nationwide 12 month/100,000km warranty.
Driver Tim Slade said: “The Freightliner Racing Commodore will be pretty bold on track this year. We did a one-off black and yellow livery for Alliance Truck Parts at Townsville in ’16, and Nick (Percat) was in similar colours for Freightliner at Winton last year. The 2018 design is simple, and with the bright Alliance Truck Parts yellow being front and centre, you won’t mistake us for anyone else.
“Not only do Supercars fans follow us for the racing, they absolutely love the Freightliner Coronado and Argosy prime movers we take to the tracks. They are showstoppers and often people will be lining up to get photos in front of them. “With a new shape and new engine package for 2018, we’re ready to move forward and want to hit the ground running in Adelaide. As always, the boys have done a ripper job on the new car build so I’m excited to get into the season ahead.”
Director of Aftersales, Daimler Truck and Bus Australia, Greg Lovrich added: “We are very excited to see the 2018 Freightliner Alliance Truck Parts car in the metal and can’t wait for it to hit the track. It looks fantastic, and we know that it will also be extremely competitive with Tim behind the wheel,” he said.
Tim Slade and the Freightliner Racing Commodore will be on track this Friday (Feb 16) for the Supercars first official test day at Sydney Motorsport Park.
