Daimler brands Freightliner and Alliance Truck Parts will be before the eyes of motorsports fans across the nation this weekend, when Andrew Jones contests Round 12 of the V8 Supercar Dunlop Series at Bathurst in a Holden Commodore wrapped in a striking Freightliner/Alliance Truck Parts livery.
While the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 on Sunday will be grabbing the lion's share of the limelight, the Dunlop Series drivers will be contesting a single 250km event on the Saturday, the event designed to give development series steerers looking to step up to the 'main game' a good taste of the rigours of endurance competition.
The #20 Brad Jones Racing Commodore will feature a distinctive black, yellow and silver design, in a fresh twist from the orange scheme adopted at Round 3 of the series at Barbagallo Raceway, Perth, in May.
The livery has been leveraged off Freightliner's truck supply partnership with Brad Jones Racing for this season.
Andrew Jones said he was looking forward to tackling the testing Mount Panorama track.
"It's terrific to have Freightliner Trucks and Alliance Truck Parts as part of our DVS program for what is the biggest event on the Dunlop Series calendar at Bathurst this weekend," he said.
"For me, the Bathurst weekend has so much hype, buzz and history surrounding it that I can't help but get caught up in it; I always love this event."
The Team Freightliner VEII Commodore was out on the track today for practice, with qualifying on Friday before the race on Saturday. Heading into the weekend Jones is lying in ninth position in the title chase, on 755 points.
