The eCanter was the first ever series production electric truck to be introduced in Australia in 2021. The eCanter Next Gen delivers a raft of technology that sets a new standard in the light-duty electric truck class and allows the truck to travel further than ever.
This new generation of the eCanter with its new eAxle impressed our judges so much that it was awarded the 2023 Trucksales Innovation Award earlier this year.
“We are thrilled to offer such a comprehensive range for the next generation eCanter, making zero emission transport more accessible than ever,” said Daimler Truck Australia Pacific Sales and Marketing Vice President, Andrew Assimo.
“The benefits of operating a fully electric small truck shouldn’t be limited to a handful of applications, so we are launching the most comprehensive line up of an electric truck ever seen in Australia,” he added.
Not only is the eCanter available in several iterations, it will also be available with an optional electric Power Take Off (PTO), which lends the new eCanter Next Gen to a myriad of applications including fridge bodies, tilt trays, mini cranes and tippers in addition to van bodies and tautliners.
The new generation eCanter comes with a class-leading active safety package and unmatched features list along with a fresh interior and exterior design backed by a vast experienced dealership network.
Watch for our full report and road test of the eCanter Next Generation coming to these pages next week.
