Graham Lusty Trailer's new Melbourne production facility is up and running, and recently produced its first set of B-double end tippers

It's full steam ahead at Graham Lusty Trailers, with the company recently celebrating the production of its first set of B-double end tippers at its brand new manufacturing facility in Campbellfield, in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

It's quite a feat given work on the new facility only commenced three short months ago.

According to the Managing Director of Graham Lusty Trailers, Graham Lusty, the establishment of its southern base – which now complements the firm's Brisbane-based outlet – is a major achievement.

“Setting up this facility has involved a large effort from our team,” he said.

“Delivering the first set of B-doubles from our newest southern-based facility in such a short space of time is a proud moment for me and my team.”

Boasting trailer repairs and a spare parts showroom in addition to its manufacturing capability, the prominently placed facility – located right on the Hume Highway – has stirred up plenty of interest.

According to the Operations Manager at GLT's Campbellfield outlet, Scott Arnold, the facility has broadened GLT's footprint on the east coast while quickly developing a strong customer base all of its own.

“Right from the start we experienced high volumes of walk-in traffic wanting spare parts and also general repairs to their tippers,” he says.

The full range of GLT's lightweight aluminium trailers will be produced at the new facility, the range encompassing end tippers, side tippers, bottom dumps, fracking tankers, walking floors, flat-top belly tankers and dollies.

The outlet provides a southern base for GLT owners and gives NSW-based owners another option for all their trailer needs.
