Hino back racing with Team 18

Hino Australia will return as the naming rights sponsor of Scott Pye’s #20 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the next three rounds of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship

Richard Emery, Vice President of Brand & Franchise Development for Hino Australia said he was happy to continue the tie-up with the motor racing team.

“We are excited to extend our partnership with Team 18 to see the Hino #20 Camaro back on track for the Darwin, Townsville and Sydney rounds – naming rights opportunities like this continue to deliver results for the Hino brand, our customers and dealers,” Mr Emery said.

“Our relationship with Team 18 is a natural extension of our sponsorship of the Repco Supercars Championship,” he continued.

Charlie Schwerkolt, owner of Team 18 was thrilled to make the announcement.

“Hino has been an invaluable partner to our team, and we are grateful for their continued support, and that of our other partners," he said.

After a strong last round in Tasmania, driver Scott Pye is looking forward to the next round in Darwin, which will double as the second-ever Supercars Indigenous round.

“It’s fantastic to have Hino back on the car for the next three rounds after the first round with them in Newcastle,” he said.

Pye said he's looking forward to the Darwin round from June 16-18

“It was great to secure a top-five finish in Tassie – it's a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

“We've made significant strides in our performance and we’re looking forward to continuing that in Darwin,” he concluded.

Pye’s #20 Hino Team 18 Camaro will race with an Indigenous-themed livery at the upcoming Betr Darwin Triple Crown from June 16 to 18, with the livery to be revealed to the public on Tuesday, June 13.

The #20 Hino Camaro will also take to the track at the NTI Townsville 500 (July 7-9) and the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight (28-30 July).
