Hino celebrates Dealer of the Year awards

Hino Australia has recognised its top-performing dealers across its nationwide dealer network, the brand recently hosting its 2024 Hino Dealer of the Year awards at The Langham on the Gold Coast.

In a first for both dealerships, the prestigious Metropolitan Dealer of the Year was awarded to Sydney’s City Hino, while TAS Hino won the regional equivalent.

“Each year, our Dealer of the Year awards allow us to recognise the efforts of all Hino dealerships and their teams and also highlight the success of the top dealer groups,” said Richard Emery, President and CEO of Hino Australia.

“For the TAS Hino team, this award is reflective of their vision, investment and perseverance, particularly over the last two years since Ed Jones and his business partners bought the Tasmanian Hino dealer franchises.

“City Hino is a deserving recipient of the Metropolitan award – this title reinforces the team’s hard work, and also the multi-million-dollar investment from Suttons Group at the Arndell Park dealership,” he said.

Daniel Glynn, General Manager of City Hino, said he was thrilled the dealership had been crowned Metropolitan Dealer of the Year.

“It’s truly an honour to receive this award, especially when I look around the room at the calibre of the other Hino dealerships,” he said.

“This is a tribute to our team at City Hino which turns up every day as if it’s match day and are always prepared to go above and beyond for our customers.

“We are also very grateful for the support we have received from other Hino dealers and Hino Australia.”

The City Hino team also won the Parts Excellence Award (Metro) and, for the second consecutive year, clinched the Hino Financial Services Excellence award.

Troy Wood, Dealer Principal of TAS Hino, accepted the Hino Regional Dealer of the Year award on behalf of his team.

“At last year’s awards ceremony, we won one award and were inspired by the other dealerships who won more – we made a commitment to ourselves that we wanted to be even better,” he said.

“We made a massive investment in our people, ensuring that we have the right people in the right positions, and we owe a great deal of gratitude to our people for the transition we have gone through over the last 18 months.”
