Hino is celebrating half a century of business in Australia this year with some new model releases, product updates and promotional activities.
To help mark the occasion, the brand has also just released a neat video clip that pays homage to the company's rich past and the strong relationships it's formed with its customers over the years.
Specifically the clip looks at one of Hino's long-established clients, Kennards Hire, and the important role Hino's products have played in the hire company's continued success.
A ceremonial cutting of a birthday cake will be carried out at the upcoming Brisbane Truck Show. There the Hino stand will also feature a 1970 KL 300 model, which will highlight the brand's heritage next to a wide selection of current models.
As a further celebration, all Hino models sold during the celebration period will come with a commemorative badge.
Hino Australia Chairman and CEO Steve Lotter said it was a proud milestone in the company's history.
"For 50 years Hino has been providing quality trucks and buses to the Australian market," he said.
"From the first bus sold in 1965 to the introduction of the first hybrid truck which was made available in Australia in 2007, the durability and reliability of our trucks and buses has been legendary.
"This continues today, and our offerings in the 300 Series light duty, 500 Series medium duty and 700 Series heavy duty lines inherit these qualities while offering levels of safety, performance, efficiency and comfort that you'd expect from a progressive, Toyota-affiliated truck company."
Mr Lotter said the new Hino video gets to the heart of the company's success – through the formation of strong and enduring relationships.
"The video illustrates what has made Hino successful in the past, and what will ensure further success in the future," he said.
