Hino Australia has delivered its 150,000th truck in Australia, with the Hino 500 Series FE Standard Cab with Mini-Mix concrete agitator body recently welcomed by Victorian building and garden supplies firm, Flintstones.
The truck was also delivered in what is Hino’s 60th year of operations in Australia, making the milestone model all the more special.
Resplendent in its distinctive bright blue livery, the truck brings Flintstones’ Hino fleet to 45 vehicles, spanning tilt trays, agitators, and tippers.
“Hino has always been our preferred supplier of small and medium-sized trucks,” said Dominic Barro, General Manager of Flintstones Building & Garden Supplies.
“In our business, it is essential that we have a robust, reliable truck that is safe and simple to operate, and Hino has proven this for over four decades.
“Our tippers transport between two to 14 cubic metres of raw materials such as crushed rock, sand, soil and mulch, while our Mini-Mix concrete agitators carry between 0.4 and 3.0 cubic metres of premixed concrete.
“We use our tilt trays, including crane tray trucks, for delivery of concreting supplies such as reinforcing mesh.”
Richard Emery, President and CEO of Hino Australia, presented a commemorative plaque to Flintstones to celebrate the 150,000th Hino truck.
“Hino Australia is honoured to have been the truck of choice for Flintstones for over four decades,” he said.
“It is phenomenal to think that we have been supplying trucks to Flintstones for over 40 of the 60 years we have been operating in Australia.
“It is a tribute to the quality, durability and reliability for which Hino trucks are renowned, and we look forward to the relationship continuing for many years to come.”
The 150,000th truck was delivered by Angelo Valerio, Dealer Principal of Bendigo Hino.
