Holden unveils 2015 Colorado Storm

'Storm' package of Special Edition enhancements returns for Holden's Colorado range-topper, the LTZ Crew Cab Pickup

A Special Edition 'Storm' version of Holden's flagship 4x4 ute, the Colorado LTZ Crew Cab Pickup, has returned for the 2015 model year.

Already featuring a number of enhancements for 2015 such as better noise and vibration suppression, a light cab update and 'comfort' suspension, for a $1000 premium the Colorado Storm also receives leather-appointed seats, heated front seats, front and rear carpet mats, a black nudge bar, a black sports bar, 'Storm' badging and a 'Storm' branded bonnet protector.

Holden says the extra cost for the Storm accessories equates with a saving of over $2500 off the recommended retail price.

Holden made significant inroads with its 4x4 Colorado last year, the 15,161 examples sold equating with growth of 8.7 per cent and market share of 11.4 per cent. The total placed it fourth in the class behind Toyota's best-selling HiLux, Ford's Ranger and Mitsubishi's Triton. The only other vehicles to post growth in the segment last year were Ford's Ranger and Isuzu's D-Max.

The Colorado LTZ Crew Cab Pickup is priced from $50,490 (plus on-roads), with the Colorado Storm priced from $51,490.

Holden says the Colorado Storm will go on sale nationally from mid-February.
