The ATA has announced details of the some of sessions to be covered at its upcoming Trucking Australia 22 conference

The Australian Trucking Association has released further details of its looming Trucking Australia conference, which will be held at The Star Gold Coast, Queensland, over May 4 to 6.

Under the general theme of ‘Unlock & Reconnect’, the first in-person Trucking Australia conference since 2019 will host a number of plenary sessions, in part spanning the following topics:

• Leveraging the Supply Chain Crisis with our panel of experts
• Policy Reset with our team at the ATA
• Diversity in Trucking incorporating our Driving Change Diversity Champions
• Cultures of Trust and Accountability with motivational speaker Gus Balbontin
• Trucking Conversation: Have Your Say, facilitated by Jillian Whiting

More sessions will be announced in the near future.

Trucking Australia 22 will bring together road transport industry members from a wide variety of roles, from drivers to workshop staff, operators to OEM representatives, to discuss all the pertinent issues facing road transport today. And of course the three-day conference will include a wide variety of social and networking events, include the Gala Awards dinner and the HVIA Royal Pines 9-Hole teams shootout.

ATA Chair David Smith says Trucking Australia 22 will help the industry make up for lost time.

“We’ve had two years of COVID where we’ve all been battling in our respective bubbles,” he said.

“Now’s the time to come back together to work on the issues we really need to discuss, like driver shortages and the supply chain.

“The Trucking Australia 2022 conference will be such a great opportunity to have your say and help shape the direction of our industry.

“The ATA is looking forward to a great conference with valuable, interactive and engaging sessions.”
