IAA Transportation 2022 opens

The IAA Transportation 2022 is the biggest truck show on earth. It opened today and we are there!

The IAA Transportation show opened this week in Hanover, Germany, with the latest and greatest in transportation from all over the world.

The IAA is the biggest truck and bus show in the world, bar none. Everyone who is anyone is here this week, including trucksales.com.au. And over the next few days we’ll be bringing you what is sure to be a cavalcade of the latest in trucking and technology.

We will bring you a full report on our first drive of the Volvo heavy-duty battery-electric trucks very soon.

From the outset, it was clear that it would be ‘spot the diesel’ this time. In fact, some of the biggest truck manufacturers didn’t even have one diesel on their stands!

The hydrogen-powered Mercedes-Benz Actros sure has a busy back-of-cab.

But what a mind-blowing selection of snippets of the future is on offer here.

Everything from electric trucks to hydrogen fuel cells to the wonderful ‘agnostic fuel’ internal combustion engines – especially the latest from Cummins, which we’ll bring you a story on soon – there really is something for everyone at the IAA 2022.

DAF launched an impressive range of new vehicles at the show including this tough-looking XDC.

All the big names from Europe are here including Volvo, Daimler, Scania, MAN, Iveco, DAF and more, and we will bring you all of their highlights.

Even the Brisbane Truck Show was there!

Here are just a few more examples to get you ready for plenty more stories from the IAA...

The Iveco Daily 4x4 still lives, hopefully we'll see it again soon.
We had a chat with Per-Erik Lindstrom who is Volvo's Senior Vice President and President of Sales Area International. We've spoken to him before and he assures us that we'll have H/D electric trucks from Volvo next year.
The outdoor displays are always impressive.
