International raises safety bar
US maker International Truck to launch heavy-duty model with collision mitigation as standardAmerican truck manufacturer International Truck says it’s blazing a trail in terms of safety with its soon-to-be-released prime mover, the LT Series.
Due to arrive in the US market in coming months, the model comes fitted with the Bendix Wingman Advanced driver safety system that combines stability control and collision mitigation technologies direct from the factory.
The Bendix system, which is related to the Bendix Wingman Fusion system soon to be offered on various Mack Trucks models here in Australia, helps drivers to avoid collisions, rollovers, and ultimately any loss of control.

According to Bill Kozek, President, Trucks and Parts, Navistar, said the addition of the Bendix system represents a major step for truck manufacturers.
