Is this the ultimate truckies' RV?

Ziegler Adventure makes a Unimog an off-road home

First impressions count and Ziegler Adventure’s Moghome is a hugely impressive off-road motorhome.

Based on a Mercedes-Benz Unimog with a 170kW/900Nm 5.1-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and front/centre/rear diff locks, the Moghome will bravely go where no recreational camper has gone before.

It will do it in comfort thanks to body that includes a Miele stove, 130-litre fridge, 230 litres of water storage including a Westabo combination heating/cooling system and a water filter. The bathroom includes a cassette-style toilet and shower with a 60-litre waste water tank.

The Moghome is more than capable of spending time away from the city lights thanks to a 320Ah lithium-ion battery providing power for the electrical equipment, supplemented by a 240W solar charging array.

For those who want to experience the outdoors in even more style, options include a flat-screen TV, air-conditioner for the living area and in-cabin tyre pressure adjustment
The downside … the Moghome isn’t cheap, with a starting price of around $600,000, and it hasn't been homologated for Australia.
