Isuzu aids Origin Fencing

Brisbane firm Origin Fencing says it relies on its Isuzu trucks to do the job well

Established in 2003, Brisbane-based Origin Fencing says it can depend on its Isuzu trucks to tackle jobs of all sizes.

The company was called upon to upgrade security fencing around Brisbane Airport before the 2014 G20 Summit, and to repair long stretches of fencing after storms wreaked havoc on southeast Queensland in 2013.

Business owner Sylvester Iwinski (pictured) says that of the firm's six-strong fleet of trucks, four are Isuzus.

"When I was updating our fleet, I noticed that most of the trucks on the road were Isuzu," he says.

"The local authorities use them, other government bodies use them. That's a great recommendation for a brand, and I didn't really consider anything else."

Sylvester made his first Isuzu purchase in 2013, procuring an FSR 850 Long. With a GVM of 14,000kg and a GCM of 20,000kg, the F Series model offers the load-bearing capacity required by Origin Fencing, while also delivering in the power stakes.

That first FSR was purchased with a custom-built vacuum excavator.

"We use that for digging around close to major services," he says.

"For example, if we're working in an area that's got a lot of Telstra and Optus lines around, we don't want to damage them, and the vacuum excavator is great for getting the job done without causing any problems."

Another FSR has a beavertail tray body to shift excavators to and from work sites, while an FVZ 1400 Long has a tilt-tray body.

The most recent addition to Sylvester’s fleet is an NNR 200 fitted with a heavy-duty alloy tray, purchased primarily for transporting people and fencing material to jobs.

Mr Iwinski says his team appreciates the comfort offered by the Isuzus, while he appreciates the service offered to him by his dealer of choice, Brisbane Isuzu.

"The guys at Brisbane Isuzu always make you feel like you're in good hands," he says.

"Isuzu has always been great with aftersales care. It's the top-class service that keeps customers coming back."
