Isuzu America sets sales records

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America set not one but two sales records in 2015

While Isuzu Australia Limited enjoyed its 27th consecutive year of sales domination in this country last year, it seems the Japanese brand is rising to new heights on the other side of the Pacific, too.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America reports it set an all-time sales record last year, delivering 20,725 new trucks. The performance also included significant growth of Isuzu's new N-Series range, which was up 10.5 per cent compared to the previous year, while sales of its medium-duty offerings were up five per cent.

The US distributor also says it set a new record for parts sales in 2015, shifting 5.5 per cent more parts than it did in 2014.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America's Executive Vice President and General Manager, Shaun C. Skinner, said both records were momentous achievements.

"After celebrating the 30th anniversary of Isuzu trucks here in 2014, what better way to start our fourth decade in the United States market that with record-breaking sales?" he said.

"Thanks to the strength of our product, the loyalty of our customers and the dedication of our dealers, we expect to be setting more records for many years to come."
