Isuzu Australia has announced the latest member of the company's Ready to Work range, the NNR 45-150 AMT Vanpack.
The Vanpack has a GVM of 4500kg and an Isuzu 4JJ1-TCS engine that produces 110kW at 2800rpm and 375Nm at 1600 – 2800rpm.
IAL Chief Engineer, Product Strategy, Simon Humphries said Isuzu developed the Vanpack in response to feedback from Australian businesses, specifically engineering the truck to suit drivers transporting goods in urban environments.
“As logistics increasingly demands shipments be delivered to customers’ doors, the NNR 45-150 AMT Vanpack means operators won’t have to compromise when they’re looking for a vehicle that can carry a lot but is nimble enough to navigate narrow, metropolitan streets,” Humphries said.
The vehicle boasts an Australian designed and assembled 18.5 cubic metre body, featuring four mounting points per side, double rear barn doors, rear grab handles and non-slip rear steps. It also has LED clearance lights and an interior work light.
“We expect the appeal of being able to put the Vanpack to work as soon as it’s driven out of the showroom won’t be lost on owners looking to get the most out of their equipment,” Humphries said.
“The pre-bodied Vanpack also comes with an OEM body label, so owners won’t have to worry about the hassle and expense of getting a modification plate for it.”
Isuzu says it has selected the Vanpack’s dimensions to ensure a combination of accessibility and internal volume. The overall height allows the Vanpack to drive under bridges and other overhead structures with 3.0m or higher clearance.
And should the owner wish to fit a rear electro-hydraulic tailgate loader, the body is specified for easy fitment.
“The Vanpack offers high-level performance and ease of operation,” Humphries said.
“At every point in the construction of this vehicle, we’ve thought about the driver.”
The Vanpack is fitted with the MYY-6E six-speed automated manual transmission with torque converter and park position, and other features include a reversing camera, a Digital Audio Visual Equipment (DAVE) unit and Sat Nav as standard, as well as safety features like electronic stability control, traction control and anti-lock brakes.
The NNR 45-150 AMT Vanpack is available now in Isuzu dealerships.
