Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has announced that it is soon to move to what it calls Australia’s trucking heartland – Truganina, in Melbourne’s west.
Construction is about start on a new, state-of-the-art head office situated in the core of Melbourne’s western transport corridor. Situated on the corner of Doherty’s Road and Foundation Road, the purpose-built centre will consolidate all of Isuzu’s operations under one roof.
The 21,000 square-metre facility will provide the ideal setting for IAL’s focus on the Isuzu Care Program, in addition to the Isuzu Parts department and will boast a brand-new national technical training centre.
The site covers 15 acres and will house Isuzu’s national head office, administration and sales departments, a showroom, engineering and parts facilities, as well as its off-highway engines team and a purpose-built training centre.
IAL’s Chief Operating Officer, Phil Taylor, said it’s an exciting project for the market leader.
“It’s becoming more and more critical to have our whole team working together efficiently and in a location where we can provide the best possible service to our customers.” Mr. Taylor said.
“The new development will ensure Isuzu’s expanding requirements are aptly catered for, as we grow from strength-to-strength in the coming years.”
“The state of the art facilities will perfectly reflect our operations in the future – as Isuzu aims to continue improving on 28 consecutive years of market leadership.”
The facility is expected to be operational by January 2018.
