Renewable energy specialist Urban Group Energy (UGE) is furthering its business prospects with the help of a modified Isuzu NNR 200, with which it showcases the benefits of solar power at a range of exhibition and trade shows.
The Isuzu ‘Energy Truck’ is in effect a rolling interactive roadshow, allowing the NSW-based firm to connect with a variety of business-to-business clients by providing information and delivering tutorials on solar power and energy management products.
Kim Bradley, UGE’s Marketing Manager, says the Energy Truck needed to fulfil a long list of requirements.
“We need a vehicle small enough to drive with a car licence yet large enough to showcase our entire product range,” she said.
“Flexibility is also an important factor as we required a cab chassis that would be easy to customise and fit out.”
Westrucks, based in Sydney’s western suburbs, completed the custom fit-out of the vehicle, which included a large lighting display that allows people to view the varying power requirements of a number of different light sources. Those sources include downlights and shop lights in both LED and halogen formats, plus fluorescent lights, tunnel lights and highbay lights.
Bradley said the truck was a superb tool at trade shows.
“It is a great talking piece and delivers endless possibilities in lead generation, rapid sales and return on investment,” she said.
