Isuzu's Ready to Work range expands

The arrival of the NLR 55/45-150 Tri Tipper brings Isuzu's Ready to Work range to 16 models
With a total of 16 models now in its Ready to Work range, Isuzu says the fleet offers solutions to meet a wide array of customer requirements.
The range was recently bolstered the arrival of the NLR 55/45-150 Tri Tipper, which comes standard with a 5500kg GVM but can be de-rated to 4500kg so it can be driven on a car licence.
The all-steel tipper body with drop sides is incredibly practical, thanks to the fact it can tip its load – up to two cubic metres – to the left, right or rear.
Broad scope
Isuzu Australia Limited's Chief Engineer, Simon Humphries, said the model would satisfy a diverse range of customer needs.
"The NLR 55/45-150 Tri-Tipper is all about offering even greater levels of versatility and convenience for operators looking to carry loads to urban sites, be it for construction, landscaping or council works," he said.
The truck is powered by a four-cylinder turbo-diesel said to produce 110kW at 2800rpm and 375Nm at 1600 to 2800rpm, while safety is a high priority thanks to the inclusion of Isuzu Electronic Stability Control, anti-lock brakes, hill start assist and traction control.
The engine comes mated to either a six-speed manual or Isuzu's automated manual with torque converter.
"We are serious about providing a tipper that suits every job, and every driver," said Mr Humphries.
"The NLR 45-150 Tipper means even people who aren't traditional truck drivers can reap the rewards of the hauling power and functionality of the Ready to Work tipper range."
Off-road applications
For those heading off the bitumen there's the NLS 45-150 All Wheel Drive Tipper, while the brawny NPR 65/45-190 is complemented by the NPR 65/45-190 Crew Tipper, which can comfortably transport a crew of seven.
"For roadworks applications, drivers often need a tipper truck that can handle a substantial load of materials, as well as room to carry a crew of workers," Mr Humphries said.
"The NPR 65/45-190 Crew Tipper ticks both boxes with a tray that can handle a volume of 2.8 cubic metres and a cab that can comfortably get seven people out to the job site."
Climbing further up the scale is the NPR 75-190 Tipper and NQR 87/80-190 AMT Tipper, with the range topping out with the FRR 107-210 Tipper. The FRR boasts a capacity of 3.8 cubic metres and a 10,700kg GVM, while its four-cylinder engine pumps out 154kW and 726Nm.
The model also comes with sat-nav and an ISRI air suspension driver's seat as standard.
"When you look at the range of Ready to Work tippers, you really start to see how comprehensively Isuzu has focused on manufacturing vehicles that are tailored to any job, no matter the size or location," Mr Humphries said.
