The Brisbane Truck Show, recognised internationally amongst the world’s leading industry business events, is owned and run by national industry association, Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA), who have produced the Brisbane Truck Show, on behalf of its members and the broader industry, for over fifty years.

HVIA has developed a comprehensive strategy to ensure the continued growth of the Australian heavy vehicle sector’s major biennial event into the future.

Australian Heavy Vehicle Industry Week is the umbrella encompassing the Brisbane Truck Show, and includes significant complementary events, activities and activations, both within the event and across the city.

The event’s themes and communication objectives are summed up by a group of themes: innovation, safety, sustainability, careers, knowledge and community. From there, they extend through technology, design, engineering and advanced manufacturing, to road safety, business insights, skills development, education and careers, workplace health and safety and more.

Whether you are a regular to the show, or coming for the first time, there is something for everyone and the HVIA says it is welcoming you to Brisbane.

The whole community is invited to come together for a full week of celebrations showcasing Australia’s heavy vehicle industry.

With the support of Tourism and Events Queensland, Brisbane City Council and South Bank Corporation, Little Stanley St and Stanley St Plaza will be closed to traffic for an exciting showcase of innovative trucks and trailers.

The event schedule is packed with free entertainment headlined by the exciting Laser Vision water and light spectacular running at Streets Beach every half hour from Thursday to Saturday nights.

AIRTRAIN
Brisbane’s Airtrain offers the quickest and most reliable option to get from the Brisbane Airport to the South Brisbane Railway Station – located next door to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre .

The 30 minute train ride leaves every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes during off-peak, with no need to change trains. It’s then a 2 minute walk to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Grey Street entrance.

TAXI
A sheltered taxi rank is located outside the main entrance of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on the corner of Glenelg and Merivale Streets.

Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including the two hotels — Rydges and Mantra.

TRAIN
The South Brisbane Railway Station on the corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets is easily accessible to the venue with only a 460m walk.

Trains run regularly between South Brisbane Railway Station to several locations across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

State-wide rail connections leave from Roma Street Station’s Transit Centre, which is only one train stop away from South Bank.

BUS
The Cultural Centre in Melbourne Street is a main hub for all direct services and connecting buses. It is conveniently located within a 200m walk to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. This bus centre is located in Zone 1.

Brisbane City Buses stop at several locations around South Bank. All buses to South Bank must be paid for.

City centre free loops
The free City Loop and Spring Hill Loop bus services provide high frequency public transport access within the Brisbane Central Business District (CBD). Services also run between the CBD and Spring Hill areas.

CAR
The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane on the corner of Merivale and Glenelg Street, South Bank.

There are 1500 undercover parking spaces available at the Centre, accessed by Merivale Street. The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

A further 1500 carparks are available at the South Bank Parklands, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Queensland Art Gallery and Museum.

FERRY
Southbank terminal 2, South Brisbane is approximately only 480m from the Grey Street Entrance at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
