Organisers of the International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show 2016 have released a substantial list of industry and association events being held as part of the Show.
"We are happy to confirm a whole range of private and public events that will be held as part of the jam-packed Melbourne Truck Show schedule," said Show Director, Simon Coburn.
"Exhibitors and associations alike have recognised that the Melbourne Truck Show is where business will be done, and are taking the opportunity to address members, customers and the public face-to-face while the Show is in town."
In an open event, the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) has confirmed it will hold its Vehicle Outlook Seminar in the morning of Friday, May 6, including sessions on autonomous vehicle technology and investment.
In the Careers & Education Pavilion, logistics giant Mainfreight and Driver Education Centre of Australia (DECA) are just two of several companies that will be giving presentations across the Thursday and Friday of the Show. Open to anyone, the presentations promise to provide valuable insights into the various career opportunities available within the wider transport and logistics industry.
Throughout the Show, the Test Track will see some of the latest releases from Volvo and Iveco take centre stage, including the launch of Volvo’s new dual control FE and an Iveco ACCO 6×4 specifically for the waste market.
The Saturday will continue to keep visitors busy, with the Hiab World Crane Championship qualifying rounds taking place in the morning, alongside the eagerly anticipated judging for the Show & Shine contest, where $30,000 in cash and prizes will be handed out to winners.
"We will have full schedules available for visitors at the Show, so you can be sure you won’t miss a single chance to do business at this inclusive event," Coburn said.
