The Iveco Daily 50C Cab Chassis has impressed judges in Fleet News Group’s inaugural fleet awards, taking out the 2026 Fleet Truck of the Year – Light Duty.
The judges noted that the truck stood out for its high driver comfort levels.
“The driving experience is much closer to a car or van than a conventional truck, making it easy to settle into and less intimidating for drivers who may not spend every day in a light-duty truck," the judging panel said.
"The Daily’s combination of commercial capability, a comfortable driving experience and a class-leading cabin was enough to put it at the top of the scorecard.”

Each truck was scored against six weighted criteria. Driving and on-road experience accounted for 20 per cent of the result, while engine and transmission options also contributed 20 per cent.
While chassis and suspension options, sustainability and safety, manufacturer support, and workspace ergonomics each carried a 15 per cent weighting.

Iveco National Manager – Fleet Sales, James Johnson, said it was extremely satisfying for the Daily to be recognised in the inaugural Fleet News Group Awards.
“This award reinforces what our customers tell us every day: the Daily delivers an outstanding blend of driver comfort, productivity, safety and operating efficiency,” he said.

Two EV vans, the Kia PV5 Cargo and Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo, were also both named finalists in the Fleet LCV of the Year category.
