When this year’s Australian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council (AFAC) conference and expo gets underway from tomorrow (Tuesday, August 23), attendees will be able to inspect a range of rugged IVECO products with representation from the light, medium and heavy parts of the European company’s broad line-up.
Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from August 23 to August 26, at the lighter end of the scale IVECO will be showcasing its 7t Daily 4x4 dual cab, complete with hub reduction to both axles and three diff locks as standard. IVECO says it is ideal for a range of firefighting applications, including light tanker duties.
The medium-duty Eurocargo ML150 4x4 (pictured), meanwhile, will be showcased with a Bell Environmental body. It too features hub reduction to both axles, three diff locks, and a 4x4 driveline, and IVECO says it is proving popular for heavy-duty tanker work.
At the heavy end of the spectrum then is IVECO’s third display truck, an 8x6 ASTRA HD9, fitted with a tipping body. With GVM and GCM capacities of up to 43.8t and 70t (more on application), the ASTRA HD9 is also available in an 8x8 format, and boasts a rugged constant all-wheel-drive system, hub reduction and diff locks to all axles (three in the 8x6).
IVECO will be at Stand 112 at this year’s AFAC event.
