While last year ushered in an all-time record for commercial vehicle sales in Australia, IVECO was one company riding the wave, with the brand posting its highest sales in the heavy-duty class since 2019.
IVECO delivered 389 trucks in the heavy-duty segment off the back of strong demand for its S-Way range, the figure equating with growth of 20.8 per cent or 67 units.
The company says the S-Way holds broad appeal for everyone from owner-drivers to medium and large fleets, while many buyers also found the firm’s range of complementary services, from telematics to extended warranties and service and repair agreements, also compelling.
More S-Way models will be added to the IVECO fleet this year, the company says.
Customers also took advantage of the latest-generation ACCO line, where uptake is expected to increase as fleets’ earlier models come up for renewal.
And at the lighter end of the commercial vehicle spectrum, IVECO also enjoyed a strong performance with its Daily Cab Chassis, where the 1353 units delivered last year spelled a market share of 9.4 per cent. It was also 154 units more than the previous year.
IVECO says the Daily Cab Chassis has cemented itself as Australia’s favourite European light truck cab chassis, thanks to its compelling blend of car-like handling with commercial strength and load-carrying capacity.
The Daily offers outputs of up to 155kW/470Nm and payloads of up to 4000kg, the latter in the Daily 70C, with 7000kg GVM, that is unique among its European competitors.
Overall, across all segments, IVECO’s volume grew by 13.7 per cent or 284 units in 2024, for a total volume of 2357 units and a market share of 4.88%.
