IVECO to highlight diverse range in Brisbane

The brand says it will showcase its broad mix of both on- and off-road trucks at this month’s Brisbane Truck Show

IVECO Australia says its stand at the looming Brisbane Truck Show will give visitors a clear gauge of the depth of the brand’s range, with a diverse spread of models spanning both on- and off-road applications on display.

The IVECO S-Way (left) and T-Way will star on the IVECO stand at this year's Brisbane Truck Show

S-Way debut

Spearheading the display will be the new IVECO S-Way heavy-duty range, making its official public debut in the wake of its recent dealer and media launch, along with the rugged new T-Way, which IVECO says has been developed for the toughest of off-road jobs.

The IVECO S-Way line-up will be represented by two prime-mover models in Brisbane: an AS (Active Space) 550 and an AT (Active Time) 460.

Powered by Euro 6e (Step E) engines mated to Hi-Tronix automated manual transmissions, the IVECO S-Way also bristles with active and passive safety features as well and numerous efficiency, comfort and convenience advances.

Gains have also been made in terms of aerodynamics, delivering fuel efficiency increases of up to three per cent on long-haul routes depending on the application, says IVECO.

The new IVECO S-Way is available in both rigid and prime-mover formats and is suitable for a range of urban, metro, intra and interstate freight tasks.

Enter the T-Way

Also on the stand in Brisbane will be IVECO’s latest off-road truck, the T-Way, which replaces the brand’s Trakker range.

Available in 4x4, 6x6 and 8x4 formats and boasting many of the advances found in the new S-Way, the T-Way also features the latest Euro 6e engines and AMT transmissions, along with a host of safety technology.

These models also feature Daytime Running Lamps, LED headlamps (with cornering fog lights), transmission intarder and engine brake, along with an ECE-R29.03 certified cab. Lane departure warning and tyre pressure monitoring are also available as options.

The display vehicle is a 4x4 variant with full-time 4x4, dual-range transfer case, hub reduction to all axles, and front, centre and rear differential locks.

Off-road geometry and suspension is generous, with a 33-degree approach angle, front parabolic suspension with dampers and stabiliser bar, and rear three-leaf parabolic suspension with stabiliser bar delivering outstanding articulation while smoothing out the bumps.

IVECO can be found on Stand 58 at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show, which takes place at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre over May 18 to 21. An additional IVECO S-Way will be displayed at the nearby South Bank Truck Festival.
