Iveco is celebrating its 40th year of operations in 2015, with the union of Euro brands Magirus-Deutz, Fiat, Lancia, Unic and OM leading to the firm's creation in Turin, Italy, in 1975.
Today, under the banner of multinational parent CNH Industrial, Iveco is active in markets around the globe, with manufacturing facilities found in Europe, China, Australia, Argentina, Brazil and Africa, and business facilities in over 160 countries.
Closer to home, Iveco Australia employs 300 people at its head office and production plant in Dandenong, Melbourne, while a further 600 people are employed nationally across the CNH Industrial group, with hundreds more found throughout the broader supply chain.
Iveco Australia manufactures, assembles and imports vehicles found throughout the commercial vehicle spectrum, from the Daily range of light commercials to the road-train-capable Powerstar 7800. It also produces a range of off-road models, including the Daily 4x4, Eurocargo 4x4, Trakker and – under the Astra banner – HD9 8x8.
The company is marking the milestone with the corporate slogan of 'Iveco: 40 years of excellence, 150 years of experience' – a reference to the rich heritage of the five brands united under the Iveco name – while it has also created a 40th anniversary logo, website and YouTube clip.
Published in 14 languages, www.iveco40.com is asking Iveco fans to share their own photos and videos for others to enjoy, with the best submission each week to be incorporated in a dedicated online album.
