Australian trailer brand Kennedy Trailers has announced a partnership with Panus Oceania, and is now offering Panus semi-trailers in addition to the numerous trailer models it manufactures itself.
The two brands will be working together to develop and distribute transport solutions for both the specialised and general freight transport sectors.
Kennedy Trailers says its sees the tie-up as an opportunity to diversify its existing portfolio, which is focused on the logging and resources sectors.
With the addition of Panus, Kennedy Trailers will now offer a range of general freight trailers including skels, flat-top and drop-deck semi-trailers, with more models to come.
The Thai-headquartered Panus brand was introduced to the Australian market just over 12 months ago, and is making a name for its 'ready to work' offerings.
Kenney's General Manager, Cory Kennedy, said the family owned firm was excited by the partnership's potential.
"This is certainly a new experience for us but, after thorough discussions with the team at Panus, it is clear that there are strong synergies between our two organisations that will allow both our brands to further consolidate our position in the local transport industry and take both businesses to the next level over time," he said.
"Most importantly, it will give customers more choice and access to a broader range of value-added transport solutions in which, in the current market climate, operators are constantly looking to maximise their capital investment."
Kennedy Trailers, which is based in Bairnsdale, Victoria, says it already has a number of general freight Panus flat-top semi-trailers available.
