The final truck from the Don Watson Transport fleet is set to go under the hammer, with Manheim to auction a Kenworth Legend SAR 50th Anniversary Edition.
The prime mover, number 300 in a limited production run of 750 units, is the last remaining vehicle following the company’s closure in 2025.
More than 300 trucks and trailers have already been sold through a series of nationwide auctions, making this final unit the standout of the campaign.

Modelled on the iconic W900SAR, the Legend SAR combines classic styling with modern capability and remains one of Kenworth’s most sought-after special edition models, with the full production run selling out shortly after its 2021 release.
This example has served as a flagship within the Don Watson fleet and shows just 176,867km on the odometer.
Power comes from a Cummins X15 engine producing 600hp and 2050lb-ft of torque, paired with Meritor axles and Airglide 460 rear suspension.
Unlike other units in the fleet, the truck will be sold in its current Don Watson pale blue livery, with the company offering to contribute towards a repaint for the new owner.
Inside, the 50-inch sleeper is equipped with bunk air-conditioning, fridge, microwave, inverter, twin UHF radios and in-cab entertainment, catering to long-haul applications.

Manheim said the sell-down attracted strong buyer interest across multiple online auctions, despite softer freight market conditions.
The final Kenworth is expected to draw significant attention from both operators and collectors when it goes to auction on April 9.
