But that's nothing compared to this wild creation by Hungarian photoshop specialists X-Tomi: the Lamborghini Urus ute. If it does everything the 'regular' Lamborghini Urus SUV can do, then it'll cost around $400,000, blast from 0-100km/h in 3.6sec and be the world's fastest modern-day production ute, with a top speed of 305km/h.
Of course. all of this is speculative, because Lamborghini would never, ever build a pickup. Then again, if utes and pickups continue to go premium... Stranger things have happened, haven’t they Mercedes-Benz?
Power for this intriguing ute would come from the same 478kW dual turbo V8 as the Urus SUV, which is due to go on sale in Australia in April 2018.
In terms of load-lugging potential, there's not a lot of ground clearance at the rear axle in the X-Tomi Lamborghini Urus ute design but it should be capable enough to haul several bags full of black truffles. Or at least tow a highly-polished Riva speed boat.
Billed as the world's most athletic SUV, the
Lamborghini Urus is tipped to double the Italian car-maker's annual sales, with China expected to account for a large portion of the SUV's sales. Oh, and X-Tomi has also worked its ute magic on the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class too. A sight for sore eyes or the next step after the X-Class pickup?
