With the success of Isuzu’s Ready to Work range, Australia’s highest selling truck manufacturer continues to expand what customers can expect from a truck.
Across the range, the NLR 45-150 Traypack is just one of the alternatives available for those who need more than just a standard diesel utility.
Tradies have often found themselves limited by a ute’s lack of physical space for all their equipment, let alone payload constraints.
But the Traypack is the one-stop-shop for every tradie, with the same tight turning circle and nimble handling as a utility, but a greater payload and truck-tough dependability.
The NLR Traypack’s Isuzu 4JJ1-TCS turbocharged diesel engine produces a gutsy 110kW at 2800rpm and 375Nm at 1600 to 2800rpm, meaning it has the muscle to tackle those tough hills and tricky building sites.
The Traypack comes in either a short wheelbase model with a 3.15-metre-long heavy duty aluminium tray, or a medium wheelbase with a huge 4.5 metre-long tray, that are all backed up by a GVM of 4500kg.
As with all 28 trucks in Isuzu’s Ready to Work range, the Traypack features a factory fitted body covered by Isuzu warranty that eliminates the body-builder waiting game.
The Traypack’s practical body has integrated load restraint anchor points, removable drop sides and rear tailgate, a headboard including rear window protector and Isuzu reversing camera fitted as standard.
Isuzu tells us that the Traypack also has a class-leading array of safety features, such as ABS, Anti Skid Regulator, traction control, Hill Assist for the manual model, and Isuzu Electronic Stability Control (IESC), which goes the extra mile to give you assurance on the road by automatically adjusting your brakes if the wheels begin to slip in rough weather.
Transmission options include a five-speed manual, or the latest Isuzu six-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) in the Premium model featuring both fully clutchless and manual operation modes, while the Traypack’s independent front coil suspension provides car-like handling.
All 4500kg GVM models can be driven on a car licence.
Isuzu’s Chief Engineer, Product Strategy, Simon Humphries, said Isuzu’s Ready to Work range responds to the changing needs of modern tradespeople.
“It’s a real game-changer for tradies who want the ease of driving and parking that comes with a utility, but need the reliability and capacity of a truck,” he said.
“For businesses that work in residential or commercial areas, there’s a truck in Isuzu’s Ready to Work range for every application imaginable.”
