LUSTEC says its new range of ST2 and ST2 steel-bodied tippers provides an affordable alternative to aluminium-bodied alternatives, which traditionally attract a higher price point.

Based in Karrabin, near Ipswich, Queensland, the new steel-body tipper models were launched in April, and are available in sliding A trailer, straight-body chassis tipper and drop-deck body chassis tipper formats.
With a chassis constructed from 700-grade lightweight steel and bodies made from 700-grade steel through to Hardox steel plate, depending on customer specification, the new models add to a broad range of products encompassing the Model 555 3x4 Drop Deck Widener, the Model 557 3x4 Drop Deck Widener – Wide Spread, the Model 026 4x4 Deck Widener Rear Steer, and the Model 045 4x4 Mini Quad, the Model 404 2x4 Dolly.

All LUSTEC trailers are designed in made here in Australia and designs can incorporate PBS standards if required. The company can also offer a high degree of customisation, from suspension to axles, tarps, length and height, and can also design and manufacture full custom solutions to meet specific applications and customer requirements.

LUSTEC founder, Chris Lusty, says he has an extensive and proven track record in the Australian trailer manufacturing industry.
“I have a long history with designing and building end tippers for some of the biggest manufacturers in the Australian market, having won design awards at the 2015 and 2017 Brisbane Truck Shows for LUSTY EMS and Graham Lusty Trailers.
“We wanted to offer the market an alternative to highly priced aluminium-body tippers. Our steel-body tippers still manage a competitive tare weight at a lower price point.
“Demand for tippers has been fuelled by great growing conditions and high demand for grain. Most tipper manufacturers are booked solid for years in advance. LUSTEC, however, is able to deliver new tippers within eight months from order.”
