Australian trailer brand Lusty EMS has expanded its range, with the MaxiTRANS brand choosing the recent 2015 Perth Truck & Trailer Show to unveil its new Drop Deck Chassis Tipper.
According to Craig Wallace, MaxiTRANS General Manager of Tippers, the new model offers benefits spanning payload, capacity and stability.
"The drop-deck design increases the volume of the trailer by up to six cubic metres per load over a standard-chassis tipper meaning operators can carry more bulk product per trip, saving both time and money," he said.
Dropping the tipper's frame effectively lowers the height of the load and reduces the trailer's centre of gravity, enhancing stability and therefore safety on the road.
"The innovation is in the chassis main-rails, which are optimally design to maximise strength and durability," said Mr Wallace.
"This, combined with the aluminium construction, ensures the trailer maintains a low tare weight capable of carrying the extra load."
The model on display in Perth featured increased wall height and internal width, typically specified for operators transporting lower-density bulk product to add to the increased capacity already provided by the drop-deck design.
The trailer was also set up for road train configuration, and featured an optional road train coupling.
The release of the model follows on from the launch of the Lusty EMS Stag Walking Floor Trailer at the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show in May.
