The Mack Trucks Australia Heartland Tour has hit the road, with the rolling demo fleet of new models allowing customers and dealers alike to gain an exclusive snapshot of the Bulldog breed's latest products and services.
The Heartland Tour kicked off on August 5 at Queensland dealership VCV Brisbane North, before visiting the Queensland Truck Centre at Toowoomba on August 7 and VCV Townsville on August 14.
However, there are still plenty of stops to go, with the following fixtures still to come:
A fleet of 10 Mack trucks spanning various models and applications are taking part in the tour, which will give customers an opportunity to drive the trucks, sample the performance of Mack's integrated drivelines and gain an insight into some of Mack's aftersales support services, including its in-house telematics system.
The Heartland Tour will also give Mack further opportunity to promote its current 'Win a Mack Truck for a Year' promotion, which will see one fortunate customer receive the use of a new Mack for a whole 12 months.
Designed to showcase Mack's total package of support, the winner will receive a truck tailored for the application of their choice and decked out in their company's livery, while the prize also covers telematics, servicing and driver development. All the customer has to cover is the truck's running costs – a driver, fuel, replacement tyres etc.
According to Dean Bestwick (pictured), Vice President – Sales, Mack Trucks, the Win a Mack for a Year promotion and the Heartland Tour will both help spread the word of the company's products and comprehensive aftersales support.
"Our 'Win a Mack for a Year' campaign will showcase everything that we have on offer; it will be tailor made for the particular customer who wins it and it will showcase our application excellence and the total offering," he said.
"The Heartland Tours for us are quite significant; it's when we can get out and speak to our dealerships and bring a whole range of models and applications with us that are ready to be driven.
"For us it's about getting into the country dealerships, into the customer service centres that are in strategic locations and into the smaller operations that we don't get to all the time. It's about pressing the flesh with the Mack team, the drivers, and giving them the opportunity to drive those trucks."
The Win a Mack for a Year promotion will be drawn on December 1, 2015 – click here for more information.
