The Cotton On x Mack collection was launched in Australia on July 19 and it is described as a celebration of Mack’s rich heritage and its impact on American popular culture.
Founded over 120 years ago in Brooklyn, New York, Mack Trucks is an icon within American history and beyond the USA’s borders, making it the perfect subject for Amerciana trends currently influencing men’s fashion.
“When we were workshopping the idea of a brand partnership to go back with our
Americana/workwear range so many brands were thrown into the mix but there was one brand that stood above all others: Mack Trucks!” said Cotton On’s Category Buyer, Guy Cortis.
“It was just a real penny-drop moment when you saw the smile come across the face of whoever was hearing it,” Cortis continued.
“Think much-loved truckers hats, ringer and raglan tees, denim trucker jackets and classic well-worn heritage blue denim jeans. All worn with just the right amount of swagger.”
The global collection re-imagines Mack’s iconic graphics over the decades and draws inspiration from the spirit of the open road.
Vice President of Mack Trucks Australia, Tom Chapman, said it was great to see the world-famous Bulldog taking residence in Cotton On shop fronts all over Australia and in the homes of everyday Australians.
“Mack Trucks is one of the most iconic and recognisable brands in the world,” he said.
“The Mack Bulldog is more than just a symbol of tough, durable trucks, it’s a symbol of our passionate Mack family and the strong connections we share,” he continued.
“It’s one the very few brands that has managed to transcend its core industry and resonate with the general public, making it a part of everyday vocabulary.”
The Cotton On x Mack collection is available now right here and in all Cotton On branded stores across Australia and New Zealand.
